I bought 3 of them when they first came out, with custom serial numbers. I also helped some of my friends get theirs ordered with custom numbers as well.

Didn’t mean to offend about the “better than average” comment. I wasn’t aware a box stock M14 was as accurate as your talking. I was worried a well worn USGI parts kit would possibly yield less than desirable accuracy, same thing with a rifle made from a country which was known for cheaper alternatives and questionable quality at one point.

May 5, 2019 · I bought from JRA and my M14 was defective. I called Classic who then put me in touch is Bula Defense. Bula took care of fixing my M14 and they sent me a shipping label so other than waiting a few weeks for the round trip I got a working M14 now. If Bula sells complete M14 rifles now I would go with Bula instead of JRA. So for about $250-$300 more (or so) compared to the Springfield Scout Squad with the walnut stock, one can purchase a rifle with forged compared to cast components (if that is important to one) and can "buy local." Cool project by JRA. I let these snap by and bought a Rockola. I'm very interested to see how these hold up over the years. I'm trying to visualize where they cut the BULA forging. Are the holes where the weld is or part of the Winchester heel? I just received my JRA this past Wednesday. The only magazine that locked into placed without forcing it was the one included with my M14. I bought a few other Check Mate magazines which was the brand included with the rifle and I had to press very hard to have them lock.

Receivers were made for JRA first by LRB Arms on Long Island NY, then 7.62 MM Firearms in Medina Ohio and finally by Bula Defense Systems in Cleveland Ohio.
