An even better book in my opinion, even though it doesn't deal directly with Iran-contra, is Dark Alliance. Gary Webb traces the roots of the crack explosion of the 80's directly to a Contras group that the CIA was funding and Oliver North was working with. It was a very contentious book, certainly more than Walsh's.
